Pastor's Sabbatical/Spiritual Renewal Summit
June 23, 2007

What will Pastor Kovitch be doing while on sabbatical?

He will be praying, reading, focusing on his family, reflecting on how to enhance worship services and placing a renewed perspective on how to nurture and sustain relationships with God and congregation.   Pastor seeks to focus his ministry more directly on the items listed above that draw people closer to God and to each other.

What can we do to help lay the ground work for spiritual renewal?

While Pastor is away, we can ponder these questions:

1.   How might I come to better understand God's word so I can better apply it in my own life?
2.   What do I need more of from Advent to help me Know Christ and Make Christ Known?
3.   How can I help Pastor focus on spiritual renewal when he returns?
4.   How can I share my personal witness with others?
5.   How can I help Advent achieve some of the other items that were discussed at this meeting?

Pray for Pastor and our congregation and ponder the teachings of Paul's Letter to the Romans Chapter 12:1-21 Ephesians Chapter 4 and the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 5.

Plan on attending Pastor's follow up summit to discuss:

1.   What did Pastor learn?
2.   What did we learn?
3.   Where do we go from here?
