Stewardship MomentIn the interest of moving Advent Lutheran Church in the direction of a "year-around" approach to stewardship, we chose the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) program entitled MAKE IT SIMPLE which is a multifaceted congregational stewardship resource designed to assist churches in stewardship education while emphasizing simplicity and generosity. It is enjoined with the implementation of a response method by which we collected congregation members' commitments to financially support God's mission in our midst. This year's pledge drive was conducted on November 12th - 13th and was followed by a celebratory spaghetti dinner after the services on November 19th - 20th. This dinner was a joint effort sponsored by members of the Fellowship and Stewardship Teams. The matrix below reflects the results of the 2011 financial stewardship drive:
