Stewardship Moment

April 2011

In the interest of moving Advent Lutheran Church in the direction of a "year-around" approach to stewardship, this is the second installment in a series of monthly vignettes intended to aid in understanding what stewardship really means to us as Christians.   The answers may surprise some of you.

None of us asked to be born, yet, as part of His Divine Plan, God has given each one of us the most precious gift of all – the gift of life.   This gift comes with awesome responsibilities.   Our lives are sacred trusts during which God expects us to discern our individual calling.   The second most precious gift that we have is the gift of time.   Time is a resource to be used wisely because it is so fleetingly limited.   It is a gift to be budgeted in a manner that allows us to fulfill God’s plan for our lives.

In Christ,

Your Stewardship Team
