Stewardship Moment

August 2011

In the interest of moving Advent Lutheran Church in the direction of a "year-around" approach to stewardship, this is the sixth installment in a series of monthly vignettes intended to aid in understanding what stewardship really means to us as Christians.    The answers may surprise some of you.

Being a steward of the Gospel is also an important aspect of being Christian.   As Christian stewards, we have been given 3 ways to exercise our partnership with God.    First, we must receive the Gospel and experience the Gospel as an act of faith in God.   Second, we must share the Gospel and bring God’s message into the world, that all who believe in God will have eternal life.   Third, we must reflect the Gospel and show others by our daily living how we accept our responsibilities as Christians.

In Christ,

Your Stewardship Team
