Stewardship MomentMay 2011In the interest of moving Advent Lutheran Church in the direction of a “year-around” approach to stewardship, this is the third installment in a series of monthly vignettes intended to aid in understanding what stewardship really means to us as Christians. The answers may surprise some of you. God has given human beings the ability to reason, problem solve and discern far beyond those capacities in all other creatures on the planet. We are blessed with superior minds which are to be used to fullest capacity in discerning Christ’s plan for us as well as understanding our spiritual selves in relationship to God and others. Our body is an extension of our mind and spirit to be used in doing God’s good work. It is to be nourished, cared for and treated with the respect that it deserves as a Temple of God. We continually present our bodies and renew our minds as offerings to God.
